What Is Respite Care?
Respite care gives you short-term relief from caregiving. It allows your child to spend quality time with someone they enjoy while you take a well-deserved break — even if it’s just to sit quietly for a moment, run errands, or take care of yourself.
New Jersey offers up to 90 hours of respite every 90 days for children with developmental disabilities under age 21 — and with River Home Care, the process is simple and stress-free.
Get Started
You choose the caregiver (friend, neighbor, relative—anyone over 18 who is not the parent or legal guardian).
